Thank you for participating in the International Scientific Conference "Emerging and Disruptive Technologies’ Impact on Global Security" 2026!

The 5th edition, organized by "Nicolae Bălcescu" Land Forces Academy of Sibiu in partnership with the Romanian Academy of Scientists, Technical University of Cluj-Napoca (UTCN), "Titu Maiorescu" University, National Institute for Aerospace Research and Development “Elie Carafoli”, and S. CARFIL S.A., was a place to share and debate new ideas and approaches related to the topic of emerging and disruptive technologies and their impact on global security.

The demonstrative presentations and equipment exhibitions offered the opportunity to share experiences and scientific results in the academic and research environment: robotics and autonomous systems, cybersecurity and communications, artificial intelligence and strategy, aeronautics and space technology, drones and dual-use products with security applications, ammunition, equipment and weapons, exoskeleton system for human augmentation, and medical robotics. Overall, the research presented highlighted the transition towards a defense model based on emerging and disruptive technologies, in which automation, data exploitation, and cyber resilience are becoming fundamental elements to national and international security.

Conference papers will be considered for publication in a special issue of the Acta Napocensis journal of the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca.
