The Department of Military Sciences is the functional unit of the Faculty of Military Sciences that contributes to the accomplishment of the mission of the Academy by carrying out educational activities and scientific research in the field of military sciences, related to the academic specialization and military specialties. The department ensures the design, correlation, and optimization of the educational curriculum according to the Bologna Process.

The professionalism of the faculty and the infrastructure of the department allow:

• The transfer of theoretical and specialized knowledge to undergraduate and postgraduate students and the capitalization of knowledge in order to develop practical-applicative skills;
• The development of the ability to analyze and manage processes / phenomena specific to military systems;
• The training and improvement of the organizational military culture, as well as promoting the security culture.
