LFA Student, National Champion in Bachata Couple Gold
Cadet sergeant Ștefan Ionescu from “Nicolae Bălcescu” Land Forces Academy of Sibiu knows how to combine discipline and team spirit characteristic of the military environment with the expressiveness, energy and rhythm specific to dance. Moreover, he has managed to turn this hobby into a high-level performance.
Following his participation in the international competition Transylvania CUP, held in Cluj, as part of the Transylvania Salsa Fest dance festival, together with his partner, Lara Mihăilescu, he won first place in the Bachata Couple Gold category, defeating the current national champions.
“The experience was unique, and the result is recognition of hard work, dedication and continuous learning. It is very important to practice a sport or have a hobby that involves movement, both for our physical condition and for our mental balance,” said Ștefan.
The transition from military boots to dancing shoes symbolizes the personal journey of our student who, beyond the rigors of military life, finds this creative way to express his sensitive side and artistic potential.
