The Opening of the 2024-2025 Academic Year at "Nicolae Balcescu" Land Forces Academy in Sibiu
On Monday, September 30, the opening ceremony of the academic year 2024 - 2025 took place in the premises of "Nicolae Balcescu" Land Forces Academy of Sibiu.
The Chief of the Land Forces Staff, Lt. Gen. Ciprian Marin, who attended the event told the students: "It is important to know that patience is a virtue. Now you are young and impatient, eager to get what you want immediately. So were we, those of us who were born earlier... Some of us stayed the same. But in the military, as in life, victories don't happen overnight. Success belongs to those who are persistent, do not give up, are patient, analyze and act at the right time. Patience will teach you to improve, to overcome obstacles and to stay calm in the face of challenges. You will realize that every step counts, and patience, combined with discipline and determination are the key to success. The harder you work, the luckier you get. Success comes from effort and passion, and the future is the result of the actions and decisions you make every day. This is where you acquire the knowledge and skills to build your career and your life, but where you go depends on your ambition and hard work. Someone once said that 'if you want to know it, write it!'"
Starting at 14:00, members of our academic community will join their colleagues from "Lucian Blaga" University of Sibiu at the Transylvania Hall, where the events will continue with the "Student Autumn" event, where students from both higher education institutions will symbolically mark the opening of the year in the Sibiu University Center.
