Voluntary reserve officers from Romania and from countries such as Austria, Canada, Denmark, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Georgia participate, between February 26 and March 1, 2024, in the “International Seminar for Young Reserve Officers From NATO and Partner States - YROS 2024" organized by the “Nicolae Bălcescu” Land Forces Academy of Sibiu, by the Association of Romanian Reserve Officers (AORR), with the support of the Defense Staff.
The seminar is part of the activities that the Inter-Allied Confederation of NATO Reserve Officers (CIOR) carries out annually for the training of reservists from member and partner states in order to familiarize them with the specifics, organization and functioning of the Alliance, with the procedures applied by it in crisis situations and provides a good opportunity to analyze the security context at European and global level.
Moreover, the seminar represents a good opportunity for volunteer reserve officers to get to know each other, to establish personal and social connections and to get in touch with the specific aspects of the activity of the armed, operational or voluntary reserve in the home states.
