LFA STUDENTS AT THE 2024 COMMANDO MARATHON
Students of "Nicolae Bălcescu" Land Forces Academy in Sibiu participated, between 14-18.02.2024, in a half-marathon running competition, in military equipment, organized by the Military Technical University in Warsaw, Poland, alongside cadets from Poland, Norway, Greece, France, Ukraine, Latvia and Great Britain.
The actual race of the 978 soldiers had its share of rainy weather and hills, the competition of the young people with themselves and the timer, the joy of doing sports around the International Day of Military Sports.
Our team achieved a meritorious and honorable ranking on the third place of the podium, following the team of students from Greece and Norway, with exceptional individual results: Student Sergeant Viorel FLEȘER - 4th place individually, Student Platoon Officer Mihăiță – Nicușor NEAGU – 6th place individually and Adjunct Platoon Officer Daniel PUCHIN – 13th place individually.
We are proud of our team and their achievements and we want their example to be an inspiration for future generations, be they students or soldiers of the Romanian Army.
