The "Nicolae Balcescu" Land Forces Academy on the podium at the Sibiu International Marathon
The twelfth edition of the Sibiu International Marathon told its story of running for good deeds under the motto: “What connects us?”
The Land Forces Academy was once again at the forefront of involvement in the community with which it linked its destiny by participating with talented athletes and dedicated volunteers for the project promoted by the Sibiu Red Cross, the Endowment of the Educational and Community Center.
The group of athletes trained by instructor Iosif Sarosi won the men's 4 x 5km Marquardt Team Run relay through C/SGT Alex-Adrian Stoica, C/M SGT Grigore-Cristian Huruiala, C/SSG Mihai Pavel and C/SGT Vlad-Iulian Daniliuc, 2nd place in the 5 km MultiversX cross-country race by C/SGT Alexandru Riza, 1st place in the 5 km MultiversX cross-country race by C/SGT Maria-Daria Ion, 1st place in the 10 km Wenglor cross-country race by C/CPL Mihaela Ivancia, and the 4th place in the 10 km Wenglor cross-country race by C/CPL Andreea Popescu.
The group of volunteers assured encouragement and support to those in the race on the stretch of the marathon route between km 30 and 37.
