On Friday, 25 November, "Nicolae Balcescu" Land Forces Academy of Sibiu hosted the international conference "The Impact of Emerging and Disruptive Technologies on Global Security", an event organized in a hybrid format (face-to-face and online), under the auspices of the Romanian Academy of Scientists – the Military Sciences Section, chaired by GEN (r) Professor Teodor FRUNZETI, "Titu Maiorescu" University of Bucharest and "Elie Carafoli" National Institute for Aerospace Research and Development from Bucharest.
The topic of this conference is aligned with the main coordinates of the current international security environment, which is facing threats generated by the strong evolution of these technologies.
The four sections of the conference debated issues related to the impact of advanced technologies on the social, economic, military, and technological environment, with the resulting conclusions highlighting the participants’ high capacity for scientific analysis and forecast in the field.
