Military-applicative exercise of the reservists from the Romanian and US armies
The “Nicolae Balcescu” Land Forces Academy in Sibiu hosts a joint training of military reservists from the Romanian and US armies taking place from 1st to 7th of August.
On the occasion of the official opening of the event, the guests had the opportunity to visit the “Nicolae Balcescu” Land Forces Academy in Sibiu and find out information about the evolution of our institution, the facilities and study programs, the structure and development prospects.
The program continued with training sessions on the obstacle course, in the swimming pool and a series of Combat Lifesaver courses in which elements of injury care caused by fighting in the tactical field were taught and practiced. In the following days, training will include machine gun and handgun fire, hand grenade launching, marching and field orientation.
It is the first large-scale mission dedicated to volunteer reservists in Romania and the first time they participate in a military-application exercise together with a NATO ally.
