The Day of the National Flag, celebrated in the Big Square
On the 26th of June, the Big Square in Sibiu was the place where, once again, the National Flag of Romania was simbolically hoisted on the mast, watching over the citizens and the visitors of our town for one year.
On the previous evening, the flag was taken to the Metropolitan Cathedral in Sibiu where His Holiness Laurenţiu Streza, the Archbishop of Sibiu and Metropolitan of Transylvania, officiated its consecration service.
