The visit of the members of the commissions for defense to the Land Forces Academy in Sibiu
The Minister of Defence, Nicolae-Ionel Ciuca and the Chief of Defense Staff, Lieutenant General Daniel Petrescu accompanied the members of the two Commissions for Defense, Public Order and National Security in the Romanian Parliament, in a working visit to the "Nicolae Balcescu" Land Forces Academy in Sibiu on Tuesday, March 23.
During the visit, the parliamentarians were presented with the missions, priorities and endowment programs of the Romanian Army - ongoing and prospective. Furthermore, the members of the two commissions were informed about the mission, objectives, programs and development strategies of the Land Forces Academy and the education and accommodation facilities that the military higher education institution provides for the cadets for their training process were also introduced to the visitors.
The activity was adapted to the current pandemic context and all the measures of distancing and sanitary protection were respected.
