NATO Lessons Learned Conference 2021
From 16 to 18 March 2021, “Nicolae Balcescu” Land Forces Academy was invited to join the NATO Lessons Learned Conference 2021 (NLLC21) that was organized online by the Joint Analysis and Lessons Learned Centre (JALLC), on behalf of Supreme Allied Commander Transformation (SACT).
Our institution was represented by two young officers – Lieutenant Felicia Mirita and Lieutenant Darius Sporis and four students – Cadet Sergeant Major Tudor Cotta and Cadet Sergeant Major Stefan Petre (3rd year) and Cadet Corporal Alexandru Florea and Cadet Corporal Vlad Tetu (2nd year), who participated in the call for papers competition and were selected to present their insights and ideas on NATO LL Capability (Leadership; Mindset; Structure; Process; Tools; Training; and Information Sharing), innovative processes (e.g. data collection; information workflows), and the use of new technologies (e.g. support to analysis; automated reporting). During the third day of the online conference, the participants discussed challenges and opportunities identified during the COVID-19 pandemic and highlighted findings as well as ways and means to potentially improve the Alliance’s LL Capability.
