170 Years since the Birth of the Great National Poet Mihai Eminescu
The 170th anniversary of the birth of the national poet Mihai Eminescu and the Day of the National Culture were marked, on Wednesday, January 15th, at the poet's bust in the Sub Arini Park. Within the event, organized by the "Nicolae Balcescu" Land Forces Academy of Sibiu, in collaboration with the local public authorities, the "Lucian Blaga" University and the School Inspectorate of the County of Sibiu, there was music, Eminescu’s lyrics were recited by actors of the "Radu Stanca" National Theater, pupils and students from the universities, high schools and schools of Sibiu attended the festivity and short tribute speeches were delivered by the present officials.
