"I SWEAR TO DEFEND MY COUNTRY, EVEN AT THE COST OF THEIR LIVES"
Eight weeks ago, the newest members of the military academic community of Sibiu walked shyly, but confident, through the gate of the Land Forces Academy. Today, after they learned the ABC of instruction, strengthened their physical fitness, adapted to the conditions of the military environment and added to their personality the first traits of physical, mental and moral force, 280 cadets from the first year of study (67 young women and 213 young men) together with the cadets of the Military School of Warrant Officers and Non-commissioned Officers for Communications, Information Technology and Cyber Defense took the Military Oath.
This unique event in the life of each military was attended by MAJ GEN Valentin Becheru, PhD, commandant of the Communications and Informatics Systems and Deputy Chief of the General Staff for Information Technology, BG Liviu Marian Mazilu, PhD, Deputy Chief of the General Staff for Resources, together with local public authorities, commanders of the national defense system structures, former rectors of the institution, parents and relatives of the youngest military of Sibiu. The activities continued with the "Open Doors Day", when all guests had a special program, which contained demonstration exercises, armament and military technique exhibitions, as well as book and photo exhibitions.
