On Thursday, June 13th, the entire Sibiu military academic community celebrated 172 years of Romanian military education. To mark this moment, the “Nicolae Balcescu” Land Forces Academy in Sibiu organized a military ceremony on the parade ground of the institution.
The first part of the event included the singing of the national anthem, the speeches of the LFA Rector, BG eng.prof. Ghita Barsan, PhD, as well as the allocutions of the guests, and continued with the ”Nicolae Balcescu” award. This year, the prize was offered to the cadet Chief Master Sergeant Vlad Vorobet for his outstanding achievements in learning and for the way he represented the Academy and, implicitly, the Romanian Army abroad.
At the same time, at such an anniversary time, the officers, academic staff, warrant officers and cadets from our institution received military distinctions for the impeccable fulfillment of the missions and the achievement of meritorious results, respectively as a sign of appreciation of the outcomes in learning and at the students’ scientific conferences. The ceremony ended with the parade of the academy’s military personnel.
