Prof. Eng. Dan Cascaval, PhD, Doctor Honoris Causa of the Land Forces Academy
On Tuesday, May 7, the Senate of the “Nicolae Balcescu” Land Forces Academy awarded the highest academic honour, the title of Doctor Honoris Causa to Prof. Eng. Dan Cascaval, PhD, Rector of the “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University in Iasi.
The proposal from the Faculty of Military Management to the Board of Administration, respectively to the University Senate of the Land Forces Academy, for the conferment of this title to Prof. Eng. Dan Cascaval, PhD is founded on the decisive and profound role he has played in the Romanian academic sphere, and on the exceptional contributions he has brought to the improvement of some directions of development of biochemical and biotechnological engineering.
The awarding of the title of DHC to Professor Dan Cascaval is a confirmation of the importance of his activity for our institution by promoting and sustaining a favorable image in the academic environment, as well as by his attachment to the military and professional values specific to the “Nicolae Balcescu” Land Forces Academy.
