Symposium dedicated to the Land Forces Day and the War Veterans Day
Today, April 18, the "Nicolae Balcescu" Land Forces Academyorganized a symposium dedicated to the Land Forces Day and the War Veterans Dayin the conference room of the Military Circle.
The event started with the singing of the Romanian Anthem by all the participants and with the speechesgiven by Col. Assoc.prof.eng. IoanVirca, PhD, the Vice-Rector and the DeputyCommandant for Scientific Research, Mrs. Chiristine Manta-Klemens, the Vice-President of the Sibiu County Council, Mr. Razvan Pop, the Deputy Mayor of Sibiu and Mr. IoanChirică, the President of the “Traian Mosoiu” War Veterans Association, Sibiu branch.
Further, COL. Assoc.prof. Daniel Solescu, PhD and LTC Assoc.prof. Aurelian Raţiu, PhD presented the papers "The History of the Land Forces in Data and Images" and "Land Forces – an essential component in the accomplishment of the Romanian Armed Forces missions", respectively.
The symposium ended with the paper "Approaches to the Structural Transformation of the Land Forces in the Current Context of the Political and Military Challenges" presented by the Assoc.prof. Stelian Popescu, PhD.
