Associate professor Romana Oancea, Director of the Department of Technical Sciences at the Military Management Faculty, and Paul Nicolaiev, second year cadet of the "Nicolae Balcescu" Land Forces Academy in Sibiu, from the Military Leadership bachelor’s degree program, are the representatives of our institution that began the first mobilities with the University of North Georgia (UNG) in Atlanta.
For one semester, the professor and the student are conducting study, teaching and scientific research activities in the prestigious campus, as a result of the collaboration agreement signed between the LFA and the UNG in June last year, an aggreement regarding the exchange of students, academic staff and military instructors.
Until May this year, cadet Paul Nicolaiev studies security courses and takes part in research activities, military training exercises and conferences, included in the cadets’ program at the partner university.
Associate professor Romana Oancea conducts Cyber Operation Research activities at the Cyber Operation Center, a department headed by Prof.dr. Bryson Payne. The research focuses on two major directions: cyber attack and cyber defense. Our colleague also had the opportunity to participate in various state or regional competitions organized to verify and further improve knowledge in the field of security.
