Romania and NATO: 15 years of Enduring Membership
Thursday, March 21, the cadets of “Nicolae Balcescu” Land Forces Academy welcomed LTG (R) Virgil Balaceanu, President of the Romanian Reserve Officer’s Association, whose intervention on “Romania and NATO: 15 years of Enduring Membership” had the cadets consider, analyze and assess the strengths, weaknesses, threats and opportunities of the Alliance as well as Romania’s as a NATO member. This seventh seminar of the project “The aNATOmy of an Alliance” was a preview to Romania’s 15 year anniversary of NATO membership which our country celebrates on March 29.
