"Encounter with Mihai Eminescu". 169 years since the birth of the great national poet
The 169th anniversary of the birth of the national poet Mihai Eminescu and the National Culture Day were celebrated at the poet's statue in the Sub Arini Park on Tuesday, January 15. Music, Eminescu’s lyrics recited by students and pupils from the universities, highschools and primary schools of Sibiu and the officials’ celebration speeches accompanied the "Encounter with Mihai Eminescu" event organized by the "Nicolae Balcescu" Land Forces Academy in collaboration with the local public authorities, the "Lucian Blaga" University and the Sibiu County School Inspectorate.
