The Message of the Sibiu Garrison Commander on the Occasion of the Romania's National Day Celebration - December 1st, 2018

The completion of the national unitfication, on December 1st, 1918, is the result of an objective historical process for which generations of Romanians have hoped and fought.

A century away from the moment of fulfillment of the great national desideratum, our thoughts go out to the souls of the more than 330,000 Romanian soldiers killed in battle or executed as prisoners, all of them putting the country's interest above their own existence. They are the heroes of the Great Romania, pure characters who fought for the achievement of a national ideal – the unity of the country.

Now, more than ever, we have the duty of honor to preserve the legacy left to us by the forefathers who wrote, with their own blood, the pages of our nation's history.

In the Centenary Year, on the occasion of the National Day of Romania, on behalf of all the soldiers from the Sibiu Garrison, I warmly wish the inhabitants of our county health, professional accomplishments, personal satisfaction and hapiness!
