The Military Taekwondo Championship
Between 09 – 11 November, the sports team of the “Nicolae Balcescu” Land Forces Academy participated in the final stage of the Ministry of National Defence Taekwondo Championship for military educational institutions.
- 1st place: Cadet Corporal Raisa Marin (53-57 kg category), Cadet Warrant Officer Elena Rusu (62-70 kg category), Cadet Gabriel Puscasu (63-68 kg category) and Cadet Sergeant Nicolas Schnel (74-80 kg category)
- 2nd place: Cadet Amalia Ifrosa (57-62 kg category)
- 3rd place: Cadet Corporal Tudor Ilade (68-74 kg category) and Cadet Paul Cismas (80-87 kg category)
Both men and women occupied the second place in the teams ranking and the LFA sports team won second place in the overall ranking.
Likewise, at the same festivity, the LFA was awarded first place being the institution with the best results obtained during the military and sports competitions in 2017.
