LFA at the MilSim CEE 2018 Conference
A delegation headed by BG Prof. Eng. Ghita Barsan, PhD, the Commandant of the “Nicolae Balcescu” Land Forces Academy and composed of LTC Marian Coman and MAJ Claudiu Vesa, senior instructors at the Military Training Center, participated in the Military Training & Simulation in the Central Eastern Europe (MilSim CEE 2018) international event, organized by Clarion Events Defense & Security in Brno, Czech Republic, on October 30-31.
The MilSim CEE 2018 Conference was a good opportunity for all participants from the academic environment, research, industry, training and simulation centers to expand their knowledge in the field of training, in how to use the simulation and the specific procedures performed in support of the training process. At the same time, the event also provided an opportunity to discuss current and future perspectives that military modeling and simulation can provide in the field of training and education, of operational planning and wargaming-specific scenarios.
As a keynote speaker, the commandant of the academy, BG Prof. Eng. Ghita Barsan, PhD presented not only the way in which the training and drilling take place at the Romanian Land Forces level, but also the educational offer of the academy, the collaborations at the international level and the academic and military training stages of the cadets from our institution. At the event, one could also see stalls specially designed for the presentation of military equipment, simulators and military technologies used to support the training of forces.
