“The Romanian Peasant from War to Union”
On Sunday, October 7, the event entitled "The Romanian Peasant from War to Union" brought together in the idyllic setting of the Open Air Museum, situated in the natural reservation of Dumbrava Sibiului, the moving scenes of the departure of the lads and the young men for the Great War.
The Land Forces Academy participated in the event with a detachment of 60 officers, cadets and civilian staff, together with the Military Band.
The inhabitants of Sibiu witnessed the reconstruction of moments in the life of the Romanian village and of the trenches of those times, the excitement of reading letters from the front line and the colors of the epoch military fatigues, as well as the rhymes of folk and military songs. The Military Band also attended the event together with the folk ensembles of Sibiu in a unique concert for a city worthy of it.
