Military Pentathlon Championship, a New Victory for the Land Forces Academy
Between 25-28 June, the "Nicolae Balcescu" Land Forces Academy hosted the Pentathlon Military Championship, the final within the Ministry of National Defense, a contest between military educational institutions and operative units.
As a result, in the individual men’s competition all the three places on the podium were occupied by the cadets of the Land Forces Academy: WO Catalin Bertescu (1st place), PV2 Tudor Ilade (2nd place) and PFC Alexandru Alungulesa (3rd place).
In the individual female competition, the winner of the gold medal was the representative of the "Henri Coanda" Air Force Academy in Brasov, PFC Andreea Antonic, followed by cadet Oana Barhan (2nd place), from the "Basarab I" Military School for Land Forces Warrant and Non-commissioned Officers in Pitesti as well as by the representative of our institution, SSG Petronela Lungu (3rd place).
In the General Team Rankings, the "Nicolae Balcescu" Land Forces Academy took the first place, followed by the "Henri Coanda" Air Force Academy, ranked second, while the third place was obtained by the "Basarab I" Military School for Land Forces Warrant and Non-commissioned Officers. In the General Rankings within the training units, the 1st Place was obtained by the Land Forces Staff, the 2nd one by the Air Force Staff, and the Major Staff of the Naval Forces were ranked the 3rd.
